Ninja Affiliate – A Great WordPress Affiliate Plugin

MaxBlogPress Ninja Affiliate - WordPress Affiliate PluginI just installed a WordPress affiliate plugin called Ninja Affiliate and I already love it. Until now, I haven’t really explored affiliate marketing in any depth because I use my blog largely to funnel clients to my offline business. The other reason is that I’m just not comfortable promoting products that I haven’t tried and tested myself.

In truth, I have only been averaging a couple of affiliate sales a month until now. To be fair, I just haven’t tried. I’m quite into my SEO and I don’t want to upset Google by turning my blog into a spammy mess. Also, I don’t want to put off my loyal readers but like many bloggers, I do want to monetize my blog.

Lately I have been trying out a few products that I might be able to promote. I have been buying and trying products and all I can say is thank god for Clickbanks 60 day guarantee. I had no idea how hard it is just finding something that is worth shouting about. There sure is a lot of crap out there but there are also some real gems. Today I want to tell you about one of those little gems.

No Upsell And No Hype

When I first stumbled accross Ninja Affiliate, I nearly didn’t give it a second look. The name put me off a bit. It just sounded like one of those dodgy ( press a button and make a fortune) courses. I started to read the sales page and realised that it was actually a WordPress plugin. Being a huge WordPress fan, I read on. I liked what I read and decided to give it a try.

The first thing that impressed me, was the fact that there was no up-sell. After purchase there was an offer of discount on another product but this too is a very usefull plugin, that I’m now also using.

I can’t lie, I had a little hiccup getting my hands on the product. This was a server problem and no fault of the vendor. Maxblogpress customer services was great. They got it sorted quickly and without fuss.

Another Cool MaxBlogPress Plug-in That I Use

A WordPress Affiliate Plugin That Makes A Lot Of Sense

This WordPress affiliate plugin really makes life easy for both adding links and tracking activity. Ninja Affiliate is a massive time saver and really simplifies the process of WordPress affiliate marketing. Below is a list of the main benefits that really appealed to me.

  • You can add a link, give it an easy to remember name and use it time and again.
  • See how many clicks your affiliate links are getting and measure against sales.
  • You can create groups that make it easy to organise your links for use in related posts.
  • Links can be added automatically by keyword or inserted via a button that is added to the WordPress text editor.

  • You can control the number of keywords that are automatically converted to affiliate links on each page.
  • You can set links as no-follow, control link juice flow and keep Google happy.
  • Links can be added to comments automatically and by keyword.
  • No need to create re-direct files. Url’s can be given a custom path of your choice.
  • You can also cloak links, exclude pages from automatic linking and much more.

Should You Buy Ninja Affiliate?

If you want to use this WordPress affiliate plugin on more than one blog, you will need to buy a full licence at $97. However, if you only want to use it on one blog, you can get a limited licence for just $37.

You can get a similar effect using a couple of free plugins. By installing GoCodes and SEO Smart Links, you can achieve quite a bit of the functionality that Ninja Affiliate offers. To justify the cost of Ninja Affiliate, you really need to be making at least some affiliate sales.

At the time of writing, a 14 day free trial of Ninja Affiliate is available. This gives you a risk free opportunity to try before you buy.

My Verdict

Snapshot Of Affiliate Sales Since Installing Ninja AffiliateWell I’m far from a super affiliate. Untill now I have had vey few affiliate links on my site but I have had Ninja Affiliate installed for twelve days now and here is a little snapshot of the results. Prior to adding the plugin, I was making one or two sales a month. As you can see from the Clickbank snapshot, I have made three sales since installing it.

Is it a fluke? Who knows at this early stage but it sure has inspired me to look out some good quality products to promote on my blogs.

  1. Hi Steve

I have to agree about the small number of gems amidst all the overhyped crap out there.

This is a new one to me but I know you are on the ball when anything useful emerges. Perhaps you need to do a video on it for SBWC members
who like me need to be convinced it is worth buying.

Is the full licence at $97 for any number of sites or is there a limit?

I will have a look at GoCodes and SEO Smart Links before making a decision.

    Bill

    • Hi Bill.

The full licence allows unlimited use. I personally went for the single blog licence as I wasn’t familiar with the product. I now regret that as this would be very usefull plug-in for Tent Camping World. I might get onto Maxblogpress customer services and see if I can pay the extra and upgrade.

I won’t be doing a video for Small Business Website Club at present. I think it will be less usefull for many of the members because they will be unlikely to do much in the way of affiliate marketing.

Perhaps you could pop back and let us know how you get on with GoCodes and SEO Smart Links. I’m not so familiar with them and it would be nice to compare overal functionality.

  2. Hello there Steve its been a while since my last visit to your site, and I have to admit, this affiliate plugin that you have shared and given us the review is quite effective specially if we do have an online business.I have to admit I am not familiar with this cause I am affiliate marketer, but i think I should give it a try.

    • Hello Kate.
I have to say that I’m not a full blown affiliate marketer but I do add the occasional links when I like a product myself. The Ninja Affiliate plug-in has only been installed for a few days. I have already made more sales this week than I normally do in a month.

I’m far from a super affiliate though :) Only time will tell if the extra sales will continue or were just coinsidence.

  3. Hi Steve,

The plugin sounds really good, especially as you regret getting the single user licence, that speaks volumes mate.

I’ll give it a miss for now as I’m so far behind with my work that I have loads to do before buying anything else.

Maybe you could do a 3 month review of the plugin and twist my arm once I’ve caught up…. Fingers crossed I’ll be able to get back to some form of normality soon, hospital today so…. If Buts and Maybe’s at the moment.

I need to PM you as soon as I can get back to it Steve,

    Speak soon mate,

    Barry

    • Hi Barry.
It’s great to see that you are back around. I hope you are well.

I know it sounds like a pitch but I am made up with this plug-in. I wouldn’t say that it’s going to tripple my sales or anything, although I have seen a small jump. The plug-in should really be seen as a time saver with some very good added bonuses.

The obvious feature is the ability to easily track how things are progressing. When I wrote the post I didn’t really grasp the full benefits. The ability to add a group is great. If you add a page as a group, you can see how a product performs on one page compared to another.

The other thing I really like is the control that you have over how the links appear and the fact that you can set them to no-follow with a click of the mouse. There are quite a few hidden benefits too and I’m really pleased I bought it. In fact, I just sent the developer a testimonial.

I will update you on it but frankly, I bought it for and would already recommend it as a great way to get your affiliate marketing organised.

  4. Hi Steve, I had heard about Ninja affiliate plugin but had not used it. I will try to use it. I just want to know that, Is it really beneficial to use this plugin?

    • Hi Sott.
I can’t put my hand on my heart and say that sales have trippled but they are up a tad. Most of all, I’m organised and the plugin just makes life a lot easier and tidier.

  5. If you haven’t installed it in your blog by now you would have not making that much money from your affiliate sales. Agree or not?

I recently have installed Ninja in my blog and the changes it bought for my in my blog is fabulous. I just can’t tell how good it is working right now!

I will recommend it to everyone. And if you can’t buy it just participate in my blogs giveaway to get a unlimited license copy of Ninja for FREE.

    • Hi Ifran.
The givaway looks like a great deal. I am definately making a few more affiliate sales with Ninja affiliate. Like I said in other comments, the thing I like most is the ease of use and tracking.

  6. Hey Steve,

The funny thing is that I had the creator of this plug-in email me asking me if I’d write a review for him. I politely told him that I don’t have the plug-in therefore I don’t write reviews on things I don’t use. So, he sent me the plug-in to use. I just haven’t installed it yet because I normally check these things out over the weekends when I have more time. I haven’t had any time to myself since June because of my Mom’s move.

I was curious too and he said it had a lot of adjustments since I told him I don’t have a lot of affiliate links in my posts. Did you find this to be the case? I mean when I’m promoting affiliate products I can definitely use more sales. I hope to be able to check that out this weekend so I really appreciate your review on this one. I do like to test things out before adding my thoughts.

    ~Adrienne

    • Hello Adrienne.
Thank’s for rubbing it in that you got it for free when I had to pay cold hard cash for my copy :)
I wouldn’t buy or promote Ninja Affiliate on the basis of increased sales. It’s a tool for the serious blogger who needs to save time, get organised and maximise opportunity.
Ninja Affiliate is not going to cause a sudden massive increase in sales. Although it might make a big difference to the serious affiliate marketer.
I would say that it should be thought of as a good tool for making adding affiliate links simple, organising them, tracking click rate and measuring against sales, filling in on missed opportunities to get a link in and just generally making life easier. Add all this together and it will almost certainly result in some increase to sales.
My copy paid for itself in the first week and I have seen a slight increase in sales. Above all, it’s made me more aware of what is working, what isn’t and why.

  7. Thanks for this review, Steve. Have not heard of this plugin as of now, but it seems to work pretty fine for you as well as Irfan. Will surely give it a shot.

  8. Thanks for the comprehensive review, this is my first encounter with Ninja Affiliate and I’m glad you mentioned that this is not of those get-rich-quick plugins that we are all sick of. Wise choice.

    • Hi Kristine
You are welcome for the review. Definately not a get rich quick scheme. Just a good tool for the serious blogger who needs to be efficient with time and wants to know how the links are working. I think we are all sick of the get rich quick crap that’s out there.

  9. Hi Steve, I’m glad you loved it! I’m sure it’s worth the investment. I have yet to venture into affiliate marketing and I’ve been doing a lot of research on the subject lately. Thanks!

    • Hello Joy.
Glad you found the information useful. Affiliate marketing can be great but it’s not good to do it for the sake of doing it. My advice is to promote products that you would use yourself and be honest about the good and the bad. You might not get as many sales but you will retain your reputation which is more far important in the long run.

  10. I have heard of this plugin from a couple of friends who have used it and they had all good words for it. I am going to give it a shot soon. Thanks for confirming what I heard about it.

  11. Thanks for the informative review, Steve. if there’s anything I learned about affiliate marketing, it would be to solely endorse products that I’ve actually tried and tested and on the other hand It would be great to have the ability to transform words automatically into affiliate links through Ninja Affiliate. Amazing product!

  12. I really don’t use any affiliate program … but since you showing there is an opportunity to get good amount.. just going to work on this plugin

I have a blog and receiving more than 1k traffic per day.. could you please confirm me how much I can earn ?

    • Hi Amit.
Some would say $1 per visitor but I personally think that it will vary greatly depending on many factors. If I include my passive income and work gained from my blog, it is more that $1 per visitor. If I had to survive on passive income alone, I would have long since gone bust :)

  13. I have to back Steve up on this one, normally I would steer clear of plugins like this but after having a client request an affiliate solution for their wordpress blog, we went through many plugins and found this one (as dodgy as it sounds) is amazing! it works really well and best of all the client was happy :-)
